One of the hardest parts of protecting your summerhouse or log cabin is ensuring the doors and windows have been treated effectively with a good quality timber treatment. This new option means that you no longer have to worry about the time consuming and delicate painting work that you need to do to get the doors and windows of the summerhouse not only protected but looking great and also painted to the manufacturers requirements for Warranty.
You will still be able to opt for the non painted option and have the windows painted after installation but this new option to your order gives you the choice to remove the hassle.
Normally when you paint the windows, the trims around the window need to be removed one by one and painted with three coats on both sides. The rubber/silicone trims that go around the glass need to be removed and the glass taped up so that you can cut in. The wndows need to be opened before painting to ensure the areas inside and around the window are also treated. Three coats is recommended and with buildings having multiple doors and windows it is often possible to paint the entire building more quickly than the windows and doors. Of course some people love to paint and so now with this optional extra you have the choice. The windows and doors can only currently come in 3 choices of colours and but the colours chosen do represent the main colours customers paint their summerhouses in.
