Rob Scott is the director of the business and his main job is to oversee the running of the business, manage the entire team and to enure we are all working professionally and the business runs as efficiently as possible.
Rob set up the business in 2011 from scratch after seeing an open opportunity to provide garden buildings, summerhouses and sheds to the UK domestic and commercial market. At the time there was very little competition, and those that were around had either no display sites, no fitting teams or a poor quality product, so Rob decided that he wanted his business to provide all the key essentials that a potential customer will need. We now have a brilliant range of summerhouse models to suit all customer requirements as well as additional services that add value to the customer. Many customers are looking for a supplier who can do everything so that they dont have to deal with multiple suppliers. We have developed a superb installation team, added insulation, painting and a variety of roof covering options and unlike the majority of online retailers also stock our cabins that can be shipped quickly across the UK which means that customers get thir cabins quicker and often at a cheaper price than other online only retailers. We are also able to ioffer a variety of landscaping services including composite decking and patios. Despite us being a family business, we have grown to become one of the leading UK wide suppliers of quality timber summerhouses and sheds and garden builkdings.
Rob does much more than a normal business director and he does not want to be stuck behind a desk all day! Rob does get involved heavily in all areas where needed including the fitting of sheds and log cabins, landscaping work, organising deliveries and collections. Also, he supports with customer sales, site surveys and even the website and marketing. Rob's describes his role as the glue that holds all the individual functions together to make the business as succesful in all areas.
Additionally, the variation of the job is his favourite thing, he has learnt so many new skills from the marketing side of things to accounting, technical parts of installing and even learning to drive the forklifts and other vehicles around our yard. you can see him beliow in action on the digger and can often be seen offloading our cabin deliveries that arrive regularly from Estinia and Lithuania.
On a daily basis, Rob tries to split his time amongst doing and thinking but often the short term business requirments pull him towards the doing which is his self admitted weakness! During COVID19 the bussiness was very busy and successful but issues with staffing our workload was huge, so Rob is often needed to do tasks that are not typically associated with his role of Managing Director.
